The expected salary range for this role is based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for the Fanatics Betting and Gaming annual bonus program and an equity award. *Salary range is listed in USD; ranges will change based on country and state of residence, which are reflected in Geographical Zones defined by Fanatics Betting and Gaming.

*Salary Range: $104,000 to $240,000 (Salary range incorporates all of our Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual Offer is confirmed).

Overview

As a SYSTEMS ENGINEER LEVEL III at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you are here to be part of the growing IT organization. You will be responsible for administration, management, and level III support of Enterprise applications we use daily. This Engineer will work closely with our FBG Service Desk as Level II support. You will also work closely with our vendors/partners in deployment, app integrations and supporting 3rd applications. You should be able to drive tech projects independently but may seek direction from time to time. You will be well engaged in new growth business opportunities, creating process documents, contributing towards planning and design decisions, working on new implementation projects, and building small automations. You may act as a mentor to System Engineer Level 1, Level 2 and/or Interns whenever necessary.

Responsibilities

    • Administration, management and level III support for all of Fanatics Betting and Gaming Enterprise applications, ensuring successful deployment, adoption, and communication of technologies across the company in a fast paced environment
    • Support the new business growth of our organization, which will include participating in project planning, execution, hypercare of new implementations and documenting steps along the way
    • Utilizing agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence to achieve team goals
    • Managing core applications including but not limited to Google workspace, Okta, Atlassian products (Jira/Confluence), Slack, Zoom, Proofpoint, Lattice, Lucidchart, etc.
    • Collaborating with the IT support organization to understand the impact of Enterprise Systems decisions
    • Identifying and resolving root causes, mitigating immediate risks and making sound decisions on when to escalate
    • Working closely with Service Desk for escalations, support and advising peers
    • Expected to look for areas of improvement within core solutions and engage proactively in mitigating risks or building automations wherever feasible
    • Independent thinker who understands broad range of design approaches, efficient in designing, developing and implementing new solutions.
    • One who is inspired to achieve the highest levels of internal customer service and employee satisfaction
    • Participating in on-call rotations is expected. On-call responsibilities may include but not limited to monitoring critical Enterprise applications, being available during off-hours to attend critical issues and coordinating with other teams to resolve an issue.

Qualifications

    • 5 – 6 years of relevant technology experience administering and managing critical Enterprise core applications
    • Experience working in a high-growth and fast-paced tech start-up preferred
    • Should be able to perform day-to-day activities with minimum guidance but may seek help for complex tasks
    • Experience with SSO best practices and managing SSO integrations (Okta preferred), SCIM integrations, and building automation for app provisioning/de-provisioning is required
    • Experience with administering SAAS applications, such as; Okta, Google, Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, JSM), Slack and Zoom
    • Experience in Okta Workflows, GAM (Google Apps Manager), app integration with Slack and Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Status IO, etc.) is preferred
    • Scripting & automation experience (Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar scripting languages) is preferred
    • Efficient in troubleshooting issues within the core applications and work with other teams/departments on resolution, performing RCA and documenting wherever necessary
    • Building new solutions that are logical, testable, maintainable and efficient
    • Self-starter and who is not shy to jump in head first to understand a problem or task
    • Experience with implementation of new core applications; contributing towards governance, processes, and documentation
    • Ability to juggle multiple projects with a stellar track record of managing priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
    • You lead by example and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and dive into the team’s work to fill gaps as needed
    • Experience with implementing business continuity and disaster recovery programs preferred.
