What you will do (day in the life):

Work on a critical customer program utilizing proven and innovative analysis principles to determine performance capabilities and potential performance improvements to the GMD system. In this position you will plan, coordinate with team members and the customer, and execute analysis activities in accordance with relevant governing documents. This activity will include coordination and execution among multi-discipline teams and integrated digital platforms.

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer/Analyst to join the Analysis & Assessment team on GMD.

Work Location: Huntsville, AL

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

As a Mid-Level Systems Engineer/Analyst on this team you will:

  • Evaluate systems under various scenarios and architectures to determine and/or optimize overall system mission performance in a framework giving insight into performance
  • Perform analysis to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture to solve complex missile defense problems.
  • Develop and maintain analysis tools of varied fidelity including modeling and simulation tools to predict performance against evolving threats of current and future missile defense systems
  • Perform analyses of the existing system architecture in conjunction with new technologies and concepts for improvements to be considered for future architectures
  • Define high level functional and performance requirements and verification methods, subsequent analysis, decomposition, and derivation of requirements, allocation of those lower-level requirements to physical and functional architectural elements, and tracking them through design, verification, integration, and operational validation
  • Execute performance analysis for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, survivability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility and system security into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Aggregate analysis results into technical presentations to brief to stakeholders
  • Develop verification and validation methods, processes, logic, and plans in support of program milestones.
  • Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
  • Define and coordinate system performance requirements and technical parameters.
  • Perform test and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
  • Proactively interact with suppliers and government customer to facilitate collaboration
  • Author and provide briefings to senior Boeing, customer, and industry leaders
  • Develop Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, processes and architectures
  • Manage configuration, data and work flow of program specific MBSE tools and processes
  • Establish protocol / process for integration of engineering tools with MBSE
  • Establish of tools, processes and data architectures for Digital Engineering

Requirements

  • Experience using MATLAB/Python or similar environment to develop analytical tools or perform numerical modeling of complex systems .
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. ( An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.)

This position requires clearing a background check and an enhanced Personal Conflict of Interest (PCI) requirements as a condition for employment.

Desired Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience performing systems analysis or performance analysis including system concept trade studies, operational analysis, requirements analysis, feasibility analysis, system performance measures of effectiveness analysis, technical performance measures, discrimination methods and techniques definition, or probability analysis

Summary Pay Range:

$92,000 – $138,000
