Lockheed Martin’s is seeking a motivated System Test Analyst / Data Scientist to support the Missile Defense National Team (MDNT) in support of developing tools and analysis of missile tracking and models.

Responsibilities will include:

Be a part of a focused technical team verifying and validating metrics, statistics and descriptive analysis of actual and hypothetical test data from Missile Defense Systems in development in support of national security.

Perform research and analysis to identify meaningful metrics, patterns and trends from the test datasets, and use statistical methods to validate or reject hypotheses about the data. Techniques may include visualization, simulation, message-based analysis and system modeling to achieve the desired analysis results.

Collaborating/coordinating with peers across the program to develop solutions to technical problems and provide actionable insights to C2BMC decision makers.

You will be expected to travel as needed (less than 10%).

Majority of work will be conducted at Hwy 83 with some work at Schriever SFB.

Intermittently some non-standard work hours are possible.

*Must have an ACTIVE DoD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE to be considered for this position*

– Experience with Object oriented software, e.g., Python and/or Java

– Experience with the Linux environment

– Security+ certification (can start without but must obtain in 60 days)

– Must be able and willing to travel within the CONUS up to 10% of the time
Desired Skills:
• C2BMC experience
• Experience in the use of software test and analysis tools for message-based systems
• Experience in the use of COTS modeling, simulation and analysis tools
• Should possess technical skills to develop software tools and models to evaluate software, algorithms and processes used to build the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) element of the Missile Defense System (MDS)
• Be able to assist test tool analysts with technical troubleshooting and analysis of test traceability and analysis tools
• Python programming experience
• Bash or similar scripting experience
• Strong sense of how data “tells a story”
• Experience with using and maintaining relational databases
• Experience with software test and analysis tools
• Development and automation of data management processes and tools
• Experience in designing/testing software from a systems engineering perspective
• Strong teamwork skills
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $134,300 – $257,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
