This position supports NSP within the Strategic Missile Defense Line of Business in Lockheed Martin Space.
Lockheed Martin is looking for a dedicated Systems Engineer to become a member of the Weapon System Integration Team.
As a Systems Engineer for Glide Body Integration, you will:
• Working with Customer and other IPTs to enhance ConOps across the lifecycle of the program
• Lead the Glide Body integration in coordination with Sandia National Labs in Albuquerque to ensure government furnished Glide Bodies are available on schedule and within requirements.
• Integrate required SME’s including flight sciences disciplines, specialty engineering, electrical and mechanical designer, flight software designers, and RF engineers to ensure GB / AUR integration that meets performance requirements. Conduct necessary design integration and performance analysis to evaluate range performance, and conduct system V&V activities
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
• Communicating with partners to meet needs and requirements including but not limited to customers, subcontractors, and team members
• Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the proven track record to apply them to a wide range of sophisticated problems and train others in their application
• Lead a diverse team of systems, software, & test engineers; therefore, requires a strong technical background in all of these areas
This position will also interface with the Navy and Army as the government technically controls Sandia. Using the candidates extensive experience within this domain and related technical fields, they will be in a very visible, very impactful position. Frequent travel between New Mexico and Alabama is expected.

Basic Qualifications:
• Broad systems engineering experience (e.g. system architecture and design, systems documentation, system requirements, CONOPS, systems verification)
• Demonstrated leadership skills and whole systems thinking
• Experience developing system of system architectures and managing the trade space
• Experience with managing multiple deployed architectures
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Ability to lead multi-functional teams, build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to effectively communicate complex technical subject matter to a diverse set of stakeholders
• Experience with IBM DOORS
• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
• Experience with validating the architecture and verifying the requirements tied to it
• Ability to lead multi-functional teams and lead multiple teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals
• Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate
• Active Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9×80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $118,100 – $226,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
