Overview:

The newly created Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC) is a five-member commission appointed by the Governor. The FGCC is charged with investigating and enforcing Florida pari-mutuel and gaming statutes and rules.

The FGCC is searching for a Systems Programming Consultant- Business and Technical Analyst to support projects for the security of Commission’s data, Web Development, evaluation, design, development, and implementation of the agency websites, mass email distribution, applications and forms development. This position reports to the Enterprise and Strategic Applications Manager.

The Analyst will:

  • Lead teams responsible for building and maintaining the FGCC’s Enterprise solutions.
  • Lead implementation teams.
  • Lead teams/provide support to teams responsible for the development, updating, security of the FGCC’s web site and team.
  • Provide business analyst services and participate in the governance processes.
  • Provide analysis support and develop plans for implementation of new applications or modifications of current applications.
  • Implement strategy and processes to address new functionality.
  • Coordinate IT purchasing with IT leadership team and Administrative Services.
  • Facilitate change control, organizational change management and communications for application changes.
  • Develop business relationships to make sure IT objectives align and support business objectives.
  • Provide support for agency cloud-based systems and applications.
  • Develop and provide training and user support for IT initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Three years of experience as a business analyst including the use of agile and/or waterfall methodologies. A degree in a related IT or business field can substitute for half of the years’ experience.
  • Sufficient experience in the duties & responsibilities described above can be considered to satisfy any of the minimum requirements.
  • Experience providing exceptional customer service.
  • Experience developing contracts, managing contracts and procurement processes.
