Position Description

Advertised Job Summary
The Division of Human Resources at the University of South Carolina is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Talent Acquisition.

The Director of Talent Acquisition develops and directs overarching recruitment strategies, talent identification and employment branding for the University of South Carolina for all faculty and staff. This position develops specific recruitment plans and promotes innovation, continuous improvement efforts, and best practices to support the current and future staffing needs of the organization. The Director of Talent Acquisition reports to the VP for Human Resources and oversees the Office of Talent Acquisition and the recruitment infrastructure for attracting top talent.
Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s degree in human resources and 5 years of experience in human resources management programs or a bachelor’s degree and 7 years of human resources management programs experience. Supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Management level recruitment experience. Experience in a higher education human resources or experience with recruiting higher education jobs.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle high volume of work and prioritize.

Position Attributes
