Job Summary
Under the direction of the Talent Development Director, the Talent Development Coordinator, coordinates training and talent development programs for the staff of the YMCA of Greater Seattle. The coordinator is essential in administering training logistics that power the internal CPR training program, Child Abuse Prevention training, and other critical required trainings. The coordinator will also support team communications to the organization and ensure Talent Development inquiries from YGS staff are always addressed within the team’s ticketing system.
In addition, this Coordinator performs moderately complex and confidential administrative support related to data management, reporting, training supply management, and solving problems in the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS), Brainier. The Coordinator will also maintain department records and files (both electronic and paper) and Sharepoint site.

Hiring range: $18.69-24/hr
Responsibilities
1. Coordinates training logistics for CPR training program including communicating with instructors, scheduling courses, identifying training locations, managing training supplies, updating trainer roster, entering sessions into the organizational LMS, entering rosters into the RedCross portal and LMS, and escalating issues when needed
2. Coordinates training logistics for Child Abuse Prevention trainings including creating sessions in LMS, updating trainer roster, logging class rosters, and organizing internal documents
3. Monitor and reply to inquiries that are submitted to the team’s ticketing system, ensuring all service level agreements are met and issues are escalated when needed
4. Organize and implement team communications by submitting announcements and programmatic updates through company communications channels and updating team Sharepoint site
5. Support live virtual and in-person trainings such as New Hire Orientation, Child Abuse Prevention, CPR, etc.
6. Support the development of new talent development initiatives under the leadership of the Talent Development Director
7. Foster a culture of compliance by creating reports in LMS to support organizational leaders in reviewing their team’s training completion status
8. Documents and develops Standard Operation Procedures to improve the development of an efficient and effective Talent Development team
9. Communicate with vendor or learning partners to monitor and identify vendor service updates
10. Support other areas of the HR team during high volume times of the year and complete cross-training to learn about the other areas of the HR team: employee relations, business partnering, HRIS, benefits
11. Attend trainings, participate in HR meetings, and engage in other professional development opportunities in order to develop a strong understanding of HR policies and industry high impact practices
12. Other duties as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. We are currently working on a hybrid model working 2-3 days in person. This role requires working at our Association Office located in Downtown Seattle as well as commuting to centers/program sites.
The Association Office working office space includes an open office concept with multiple staff working in one room. Desks are adjustable to various heights.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office and training products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. At times, cleaning and organizing of training equipment will be required, using approved chemicals.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, typically 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties require.
TRAVEL
This is a regional role supporting multiple locations in the Seattle area. Reliable transportation to support frequent travel within King County required.
Qualifications
• 1+ years of experience coordinating logistics of programs or trainings
• Experience managing email communications and serving various stakeholders
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Intermediate computer skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.) and a commitment to building equity, justice, and anti-racism into work practices
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Possess technical curriculum knowledge, relationship building skills and proven presentation of competencies to successfully carry out training duties
• Experience working with Brainier or other Learning Management Systems
• HR Experience serving in a mission-centered or community-engaged nonprofit organization in the field of childcare or social services is preferred
• Prior education in adult education or curriculum development
• Ability to speak any language in addition to English
