Department Summary

Operations and Administrative Services (OAS) is a sophisticated shared services unit that provides essential services to promote the university’s priorities and operate within a framework of efficient business practices. All OAS professionals serve in partnership with the complex divisions of University Advancement (UA) and University Communications (UC). Additionally, services are provided to the UO Board of Trustees, the University of Oregon of Oregon Alumni Association’s (UOAA) Board of Directors, and other boards and volunteer bodies.
Position Summary
The Talent Management Coordinator (coordinator) provides day-to-day management of the Advancement Leadership Internship (ALI) program. Builds and communicates long-term strategy to key partners and leadership, coordinates logistics with intern supervisors, student recruitment, training, and works closely with current and previous ALI interns.
This position also leads the strategy around employee engagement opportunities by identifying, organizing, implementing, and communicating internal engagement opportunities for our onsite, hybrid, and remote staff. The coordinator plays a key role in our internal engagement efforts as well as identifying and supporting opportunities that continue to build an inclusive and welcoming culture for all staff.
This position provides programmatic support for the Talent Acquisition (TA) team by providing support for key Advancement programs and internal resources. Additionally, the coordinator provides backup support as needed for TA team members.
This position is located in Eugene and will need to work on campus four to five days per week depending upon intern schedules. The schedule may allow for more remote work during summer and term breaks. This limited duration position is expected to run through June 2024, with the possibility of extending the position through June 2025.
Minimum Requirements
• Four years of experience as an executive assistant, administrative analyst, researcher or administrative officer which included administrative duties, provision of technical assistance, or operations review. Two of the required years must have included administration or oversight of an on-going project or program.
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration or a closely related field may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience. There is no substitution for the two years of administrative experience.
Preference may be given to individuals with experience in a specialty area specific to the position opening.

• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
• Two years of relevant project or program management experience in a complex and diverse organization.
