Talent Services – Senior Specialist, Employee Lifecycle Events – Compliance

Key Role Description:
The Employee Lifecycle Events (ELE) team is part of the Talent Services (TS) channel of the Deloitte Talent Organization. TS delivers a breadth of services through an innovative and customer-centric shared services model. The TS vision is to make a global impact through a distinctive Talent experience. The Employee Lifecycle Events (ELE) Compliance team provides support to key collaborators within and outside of Talent. This position provides support and a level of day-to-day oversight of certain TS ELE Compliance activities. Scope of activities include, but are not limited to, Wage Theft Notices, Military Orders and Audits, Massachusetts Department of Family Medical Leave requirements. This role also supports Outside Employment Audits, Federal Investigations, State Surveys, Compliance Posters and other activities, as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute delivery of processes for assigned tasks/functions in accordance with scope of services
- Provide support and contribute to the development of Compliance Processes to optimize efficiency and quality
- Ensure processes, policies, and guidelines are followed and escalate as appropriate
- Respond to inquiries from employees; redirect or escalate as necessary
- Uses knowledge to identify trends and work with Leads and Management to develop and implement process enhancements
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and key collaborators such as – Office of General Counsel, Office of Confidentiality & Privacy, Information Technology Services, Talent Risk
- Provide effective communication and follow-through while acting as a dependable and responsive point of contact within and outside of Talent
- Maintain confidential and highly sensitive information
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Provide backup support to the Compliance Leads, including involvement in extra projects as needed
Qualifications: Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and minimum of 3 years of direct Compliance experience
- Knowledge of talent related Federal, State and local regulations
- Microsoft Office; HRIS system experience
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to identify issues and escalate accordingly
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Creative problem-solving skills
- A high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality and ability to work in a highly confidential environment
- Ability to interface with all levels within the firm
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and to approach challenges with creativity and resourcefulness
- Experience with Human Resources Information systems and related processes. (SAP, Success Factors, ServiceNow or Salesforce preferred)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
- Experience in a professional services firm or large/matrix-driven corporation with overseas or outsourced operations
- Experience in a shared services function
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000 to $123,300.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
