About the Opportunity:
A private client of Sayva`s is looking for an experienced Tax Manager who will, in a team of two, oversee all tax related items in a real estate environment. The role will perform tax research and partner with external CPA firms in providing financial statements and workbooks to them and reviewing the tax returns prepared by outside firms. Salary: $110,000 – $130,000

Responsibilities:
- Work with outside CPA firms by providing financial statements and workbooks for their use in preparing tax returns.
- Review partnership tax returns prepared by external CPA firms.
- Manage the preparation and review of tax estimates, taxable income and allocations and Schedule K-1s.
- Research federal and state tax issues and stay current on new and existing taxation laws and regulations.
- Prepare and lead presentations to senior leadership regarding tax impacts to the organization.
- Income tax projections for investors, owners and other company entities as needed.
- Gain experience with joint venture accounting by managing investment entity financial statements, including month end close.
- Review financial statements prepared by internal accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- 4-7+ years in a local, regional or national public accounting firm
- Bachelor`s degree in accounting or related field with an accounting emphasis
- Experience with partnership tax return preparation and and understanding of multi-tiered partnership structures and flowthrough activity.
- Real estate industry tax knowledge (1031 exchanges, TIC ownership structures) preferred.
- CPA preferred.
