The Engineering Labs & Support Services organization is a highly dynamic and growing organization that plays a vital role in providing mission-critical intelligence solutions by optimizing satellite constellations, processing data through its entire life cycle and developing reliable cutting-edge
infrastructure for information dissemination across a global network and to a variety of programs.
Within these Programs, you will participate in the design, development, verification and deployment of complex new software.
The Tb&S (Testbed and Simulation) Software Product Line is seeking a highly motivated Deputy Military Space Associate Manager to join the team and take on technical and personnel management duties. This position reports to the Tb&S software product manager and will serve as the functional manager for up to 12 engineers.
Duties will include but are not limited teaming with the SimSW/Infrastructure Manager for:
• Product/Asset Workforce management
• Personnel development
• Collaboration across the different Tb&S teams
• Project/Asset Software Development
• Effectively communicate and coordinate with software leads within the Product Line.
• Identify technical, cost, and schedule risks.
• Identify staffing requirements to product team management
• Perform functional manager duties, hire staff, give employee feedback and career development for direct reports
Basic Qualifications:
– Experience with Agile methodologies
– Experience with full Software Development Life-cycle
Desired Skills:
– Must have a technical role in the organization
– Ability to lead a team of engineers
– Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
– Excellent team orientation with strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
– Previous software development experience
– Understanding of Full Spectrum Leadership
– Experience with Embedded Software Development.
– Experience with Object Oriented Analysis/Design.
– Demonstrated and proven ability to support multiple engineering discipline requirements and coordination of employee task assignment, etc. while leading and balancing the needs of the personnel on the team
– Previous technical or management experience
– Demonstrated communication/presentation experience.
– Understanding of satellite software systems.
– Ability to work with multiple programming languages, operating systems, and development environments

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $105,000 – $201,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
