Description
Provides behavioral services to children presenting with severe emotional disturbance primarily age 3 to 18 to help maintained the lowest level of care. Achieved by working with client and family to learn behavioral tools to reduce and manage targeted behaviors. One-on-one behavioral services will include utilizing and modeling positive behavioral interventions, offering structure and support, coaching client and caregivers to learn positive parenting to reinforcing desirable behaviors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement behavioral interventions to client and family as planned. Provide safety interventions as needed, within the scope of practice. Consult with family and team regarding all intervention.
Attend supervision, training, multidisciplinary monthly Team Meetings and other assigned meetings.
Complete daily billing documentation reflecting measurable outcomes. Maintain behavioral data. Perform Chart Reviews as directed.
Maintain expected productivity based on number of hours worked.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High School diploma with four years’ experience with SED population OR
Associates degree in psychology, social work, nursing, or other related discipline and three years of experience. OR
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or other related discipline, with two years full-time experience in a group home, hospital, SED designated classroom, day treatment, or other equivalent setting. OR
Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or other related discipline
Flexible schedule.
Department of Justice clearance and child abuse clearance.
DMV clearance, insurance, and operational car. Must pass clearance with the Center’s insurance carrier.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must act in accordance with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 and related state law confidentiality requirements. Must successfully complete the Center’s HIPAA training, pass the HIPAA test, and receive the Certification of Compliance.
Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
Interacting with other employees at work is an essential function of the job.
Arriving at work on time and not leaving early is an essential function of the job.
Possess valid Class C California Driver’s License and driving records meets SFVCMHC Inc. insurance requirements.
