Tech Curriculum Developer , Amazon Software Builder Experience (ASBX)

The Tech Curriculum Developer role is core to helping onboard and develop Amazon’s technical job families. In this role, you will work with other Engineering Excellence (EE) team members and customers to develop courses that have company-wide scope. Your will partner with other EE team members on technical learning roadmaps. You will collaborate with others on the team to improve our technical curriculum using various tools and modalities.

Key job responsibilities

You will work with the EE team and technical subject matter experts to design, develop, launch, and evaluate content. As a Technical Curriculum Developer, you will contribute to learning strategy, develop schedules, and participate in user testing. We currently develop our online resources using wiki, Qualtrics, and an internal learning platform.

• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment to deliver learning content on rapidly changing technologies.
• Have strong project management and communication skills so that stakeholders, teammates and leadership understand timelines and milestones.
• Have skills in instructional design, learning development tools and he ability to develop technical training.
• Work closely with technical employees of all levels who will be subject matter experts (SMEs) to design, develop, and maintain technical learning content.
• Experience with software development and technical training development.

Amazon’s Engineering Excellence (EE) group creates and delivers technical and leadership learning for Amazon’s engineering community. We provide Amazon engineers and leaders the information they need to build products and services that delight customers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 2-3 years of experience developing learning experiences for technical audiences, engineers, or related technical roles.
• Curriculum development experience for online self-paced learning. .
• Experience working with subject matter experts and program stakeholders to create learning for online instruction.
• Background in user-centered design and learning analytics.
• Experience working in a cross-functional team.
• Proven ability to deliver projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior experience with Project Management methodologies.
• Detail oriented, yet able to identify what truly matters.
• Strong bias for action and a “get it done” attitude.
• Proven ability to anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance competing constraints.
• Proven ability to plan and manage multiple parallel projects.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
