OPPO Seattle Research Center has an exciting opening for an experienced technical artist to join our Digital Avatar and Content Team.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineers and artists to reconstruct, rig, animate, showcase high-quality 3D avatar contents
- Partner with engineers to process reconstructed high-quality 3D and 4D human scans, such as mesh and texture retopology
- Work effectively with the team to innovate and build automatic high-quality 3D avatar modeling, rigging, animation, rendering pipelines.
Requirements
• Proficiency in UE character manipulation, including rigging, animation, and lighting, etc. to showcase high-quality 3D avatar contents
• Proficiency in manipulating mesh and PBR textures in UE and 3D artist software such as Maya, Photoshop.
• Experience of avatar and facial rigging, including joint-based and blendshape based techniques.
• Experience in groom manipulation.
• Excellent communication and eagerness to work with a team involving engineers and other artist to build high-quality avatar pipeline.
Preferred Qualification
• Experience with advanced 3D facial rigging techniques, e.g., MetaHuman.
• Experience working with 3D or 4D scans, using software such as Wrap/Wrap4D.

The US base salary range for this contractor position is $30-$50/hour. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
