Technical Delivery Consultant

Work with a strategic online consulting company that has built multiple client lists of Fortune 500 companies in consumer electronics, media companies, beauty and fashion, and other industries.

The client has been in the industry for over 20 years and provides a variety of services such as Project Management, Digital Development, UAT, Tools Management, Organizational Management, and many more.

This is a remote position based in NYC and a contract role until June 2024.

About the Role:

The client is looking for a skilled Technical Delivery Consultant who will provide support for existing Agile life cycle management (ALM) tools as well as assist with the evaluation and implementation of new tools for their clients. Existing tools currently include Jira, Confluence, Jira Align, and Slack.

The Technical Delivery Consultant enables tools to support organizational objectives and empower users. This is accomplished by engaging with client requestors in the refinement and prioritization of features, stories, and their alignment with epics. This role works closely with the Senior Technical Delivery Consultant to ensure features are appropriately refined, estimated, prioritized, and approved for delivery.

Responsibilities:

    • Provide user support for Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, and Slack
    • Gather requirements for business processes, and determine ways to optimize/improve the tools
    • Work with business users to evaluate plug-ins, determine licensing needs, and perform testing, installation, and configuration of the plug-ins
    • Utilize design skills to define Jira workflows and the related screen schemes for complex and high-impact projects
    • Generate documentation on workflows and processes implemented to support runbooks
    • Create Jira projects, queries, and reports as required
    • Provide recommendations to streamline tools and support processes
    • Manage day-to-day tasks in access, setup support, and issue resolution

Qualifications:

    • 2 years of Jira and Confluence administration (Data Center version)
    • 2 years of experience with Jira Service Management (Jira Service Desk)
    • Higher education degree or comparable work experience
    • Advanced knowledge of JQL
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and process implementation skills
    • Familiarity with ITSM, ITIL, DevOps

Bonus points if you have:

    • Atlassian certifications
    • Experience with Jira Align, Structure
    • Experience with custom scripting (Groovy, ScriptRunner)
    • Experience with Jira APIs

$70 – $85 an hour

This is a contract-based 1099 position. Candidate must have an LLC set up in place or someone who would be interested in setting up their own LLC.
