About the role
Technical Designer / Designer
An ADP client is currently recruiting for an experienced individual to be our next Designer to join our team in our New York City, NY 10018 location.

About the Role:
This role is responsible for managing the following categories:
- Soft Storage – Closet, Bed, and Bath
- Back to College/ Dorm
- Seasonal Storage
- Seasonal Décor and Organization
- Includes Both Branded and Pl
What you will do:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers & product managers to ensure that product specifications are viable.
- Evaluating development, Pre-Production and Top of Production samples and own all sample tracker communication.
- Ensuring all samples conform to company standards.
- Create, maintain, and update all specs and tech packs.
- Performing other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Design Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to understand competition by category.
- Design and implement new creative concepts and solutions.
- Design into private collection trends.
- Partner with Graphic Design team on packaging concepts.
- Participate in key account meetings where appropriate.
- Provide Sales team with product knowledge.
- Performing other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Our Perfect Candidate
Education and Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree welcomed, but not required.
- 3-5 years’ experience in home storage and organization or Home Décor and Furniture.
- Comfortable working in a MAC environment.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with a focus on Illustrator and Photoshop.
To be a Successful Candidate:
- Motivated to be in on the ground floor of building a growing category.
- Creative nature.
- Knowledge of the business – good student of the competition.
- Comfort level speaking to retailers.
- Experience in Home sector.
Company Offers:
- Salary range is $75k to $85k, depending on experience and education.
- Hybrid role – 3 days a week in the office and 2 days a week outside of the office, after 90-day period.
- Summer Fridays – available from Memorial Day (May) to Labor Day (September).
