The Technical Domain Architect (TDA) who is responsible for architectural support of the Service Management product/tool suite. The successful candidate will work closely with the Service Management Technologies Product & Engineering Leads, Infrastructure Architecture Leads and the Service Management Office team members including requestors and end users to provide subject matter expertise in the ongoing enhancement of the products & tools to facilitate and support maturing the Service Management Office operational and commercial processes.
We’re seeking a future team member in the role of Technical Domain Architect (TDA) to join our Technology Production Services (TPS) team with a Service Management organization This role is located in New York, Pittsburgh PA or Lake Mary, FL – HYBRID.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
• Provides end to end product architecture to ensure the detailed design and development remains
consistent with the overall product strategy and roadmap.
• Identifies issues between the strategic architecture and vendor solution implementation.
* Identifies solutions and formulates implementation and migration strategies.
• Provides expertise in technical knowledge, methodology and framework, data integration and
data flows, Enterprise Architecture, and software development and coding.
• Work with IT Service Management Process Owners to understand workflow process and translate
designs to prototypes.
• Provide detailed architecture analysis, design and direction on development activities.
• Participate in design, code & test review cycles.
• Provide a GAP Technical Evaluation of requested functionality and baseline (out of the box)
functionality.
• Perform solution walkthroughs with Process Owner(s) and testing team/s.
• Evaluate ServiceNow changes (upgrades, patch fixes) and ensure alignment with product strategy
and roadmap
• Identify opportunities to improve the product offerings from a quality, controls & capabilities
perspective while also defining best practices.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
• SME in ServiceNow in addition to having 3+ years’ experience in IT Service Management systems
& tools.
• Proven success working in Enterprise level ITSM projects.
• Knowledge and understanding of software architecture principles as they apply to solution and
application architectures, specifically for portals, web sites and systems integration projects.
• Thorough understanding of ITIL best practices and common IT Service Management processes.
• ServiceNow ITSM Implementation Certification.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Excellent collaboration skills.
• Complex problem-solving skills.
• Ability to convey complex technical information both to engineers and senior managers.
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Building effective relationship with IT vendors and negotiation skills preferable.
• ITIL foundation certification preferable.
• Vendor management skills.
• Experience of technical process analysis.
• Understanding of IT environments in financial institutions.

Acts as SCM technical expert, responsible for defining the overall technical direction of the SCM department. Defines SCM plans and scripts/programs for the most complex configurations. Standardizes the use of tools, technology and/or business expertise in relationship to SCM approaches. Assists in defining standards, processes, and procedures for the use of technology within the department. Defines and approves the process for metrics collection and analysis across all applications. Analyses data and produces progress reports for strategic projects. Makes recommendations to improve efficiencies and outcomes. Interacts directly with clients and senior management regarding project activities, production stability, SLAs, and current status of upgrades on the application (vendor/in-house). Responsible for defining the installation and upgrade strategy for vendor products and identifying obstacles in making vendor software products fully operational within BNY Mellon environment. Reviews customizations made to core product to ensure impact on future portability. Contributes to the achievement of Software Configuration/Release Management objectives.
Modified based upon local regulations/requirements. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree is preferred. 10-12 years of experience in a systems SCM environment, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $98,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
