Details:
A Technical Drafting position in Bellevue, WA is currently available at Belcan. To be considered for this role, you will need an Associates degree as a Computer Aided or Technical Drafter and two plus years of experience as a drafter within the aerospace/automotive industry. As a technical drafter, you will be remastering Catia V4 aerospace structures models in Catia V5 models and releasing the engineering with all the metadata.
Technical Drafter Job duties:
• Conversion of CATIA V4 parts, assemblies, and installs into CATIA V5 per Customer modeling processes and requirements.
• Creation of respective drawings for parts and assemblies converted to CATIA V5 per Customer drafting processes and requirements.
• Identify modeling or drafting errors or discrepancies of the V4 datasets and bring to the attention of Customer Engineering for review and corrective action.
• Develops solutions to a wide range of technical problems which require ingenuity and innovation
• Works according to established guidelines and schedules
• Collaboration with client-integrated product teams
• Ability to check medium complexity drafting work (models, etc.) following Customer standards.
• Must be able to hit OTD (On Time Delivery) and FTQ (First Time Quality) targets set by Customer.
Qualifications:
• Associates degree as a Computer Aided or Technical Drafter with an emphasis on Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil preferred.
• Minimum of two plus years of experience as a Structural/Mechanical Drafter within the Aerospace/Automotive Industry.
• Strong knowledge and experience with CATIA V4, CATIA V5, and Enovia. Minimum 2 years” experience in Catia V5.
• Boeing experience preferred.
• Knowledge and application of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) preferred.
• Strong communication skills, especially with the support and mentorship of student/co-op drafters
• Strong mentoring and teaching skills. The candidate must be able to work closely with drafting students/co-ops to complete drafting tasks and requirements.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $80,000 to $102,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
