Team Profile:
Our team is composed of specialized technical, service and program managers focusing on the delivery of low-latency, high-performing and resilient infrastructure tailored to meet the demands of algorithmic trading environments. We work with application groups and business units to identify and prioritize requirements and business goals then represent them within Infrastructure and appropriate governance bodies.
Position Overview:
This position is for a Technical Infrastructure Project Manager with at least eight years’ experience and a strong conceptual understanding of project lifecycle. The candidate will be performing project support on the Morgan Stanley Electronic Trading (MSET) program with business facing attention. The candidate will be responsible for reporting, maintaining project plans, supporting project planning and tracking, issue / risk management. The candidate will produce project documentation and project plans to team standards, and within the current project lifecycle standards, soliciting business sign off, governance, and action where appropriate. They will provide support and oversight of implementation through project completion. The ideal candidate will have a diverse technical background within the financial services industry. This role will be a single individual coordinating cross-silo activity in a Kanban and Agile compliant process.

> Proven experience managing large scale, cross-regional Programs/Projects relating to hardware infrastructure deployments, and application and network engineering implementations.
> Understanding of data center deployment process/procedures and related technologies (cages/racks/servers/switches/storage/cabling/power)
> Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience working with physical servers, networks, storage, and cabling.
> Intermediate-level knowledge of LAN, WAN, Telecommunications, and Datacenter Facilities.
> Demonstrates good time management ensuring all project tasks and dependencies are managed to completion by the project end date.
> Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels and influence peers and/or senior team leaders to accomplish team goals.
> Strong leadership skills with the ability to work and manage teams in a matrix-reporting environment (i.e. direct and indirect staff/teams)
> Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools (Jira, Project, Google suite.)
> Serve as a conduit between the business and engineering to ensure requirements and design considerations are incorporated to improve deployment and sustainability of project
> Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to plans and schedules, identifies delivery risks, and obtains/drives mitigation strategies and solution
> Organizes and facilitates Agile ceremonies (planning, grooming, review, retrospective and daily standups)

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $140,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
