Technical Marketing Manager – Hybrid Cloud Storage
(Boulder, Colorado – Remote in Colorado)

Spectra Logic is building the next generation of hybrid cloud storage solutions and needs your help! The Technical Marketing Manager will determine and execute our storage software and hardware’s business direction and market positioning.
COMPENSATION – $120,000 – 150,000
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Understanding the markets that we serve now and may serve in the future.
- Anticipating technical product needs and integrating desired functionalities into the design.
- Developing technical marketing materials and products.
- Creating a product vision that will differentiate the company.
- Contributing to marketing strategies by researching market trends and associated technologies.
- Conducting competitor analysis & market research.
- Identifying the product features to spotlight and empower the sales team with clear value propositions.
- Articulating the benefits of product features via customer-facing messaging.
- Providing thought leadership via publications and blogs.
Spectra expects its Technical Marketing Managers to have the following characteristics:

What you need to bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technical communications, marketing or a similar field.
- 5 plus years’ experience as a Technical Marketing Manager within the data protection industry.
- Experience working with industry-leading data protection vendors such as Dell, NetApp, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, Commvault.
- Experience and knowledge of cloud software, services, and storage.
- Ability to perform and document market analysis.
- Ability to create business cases, product strategies, and competitive analyses.
- Familiar with product marketing tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns).
Interview processThere will be 3 steps. You’ll interview with the hiring manager, Director of Product Marketing. Then the VP of Product Management and finally the Sr. VP of Worldwide Sales.
