Technical Program Manager – AWS Security

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), Security is our highest priority. The AWS Security team is responsible for the security of services offered by AWS. We are looking for a passionate, innovative, results oriented technical program manager.

AWS Security is responsible for driving innovative enhancements that raise the bar for how AWS employees interact with resources, systems, and data. You are someone who loves managing programs and is committed to formulating and implementing wide-ranging process improvements. You are passionate about the security of the cloud and you want to solve real business problems. You have an understanding of basic technical concepts, and possess a broad understanding of AWS services. Key job responsibilities

As a TPM in AWS Security you will be responsible for a set of long-term security outcomes. Your day to day job responsibilities will include:

– Working across teams to drive, manage and track long-term projects

– Provide consistent, executive-level reporting on project status and outcomes

– Identifying functional and technical requirements by collecting inputs from business, security, and technical teams.

– Aptitude for technology, able to learn new tools quickly

– Able to synthesize data and analytics to formulate sound program objectives and goals

– Address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs and balance the business needs versus technical constraints

– Partner with multiple teams across multiple locations with varying sets of priorities to ensure a timely delivery of the secure solution

– Clarify and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability

– Lead internal process improvement projects, including the development and implementation of internal tools

– Drive Security metrics delivery and improvements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of technical product or program management experience

– 2+ years of software development experience

– 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

– Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role

– Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
