Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Technical Project Lead for the support organization of the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program who will lead Lab Installations and Logistics teams. This is part of the Navy’s Tomahawk Missile program. We are a CMMI Level 3 rated program.
Peraton develops several TMPC applications, providing support for tactical and training operations. Functions provided by these applications include mission planning; data distribution; strike planning, rehearsal, and coordination; strike execution, monitoring, and control; strike reporting; and communications configuration and data management/delivery. The primary focus of your role will be:
- To actively lead Lab Installations, Shipping, Receiving and Spares functions for the TMPC program.
- To actively learn these functions as an individual contributor and train others.
Responsibilities You will:
- Lead, train and motivate the team, which results in high morale, productivity, and quality.
- Install and upgrade computer software, plan and coordinate installations or upgrades with the development and test team for the classified lab and unclassified lab environments.
- Install the latest software versions (CM builds) in the development and test environments at the Santa Clara, CA facility.
- Install systems per written procedures and provide redlines to the technical writing team for continuous improvement.
- Conduct witness and customer installations at the Santa Clara, CA facility and customer sites.
- Inform internal customers of activity status and variances to the schedules, using Kanban boards, emails, etc.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
- Help plan for future needs of both software and hardware.
- Communicate effectively with various teams to ensure lab environments are running as expected.
- Perform ongoing inventory of selected Peraton and customer owned equipment and provides accurate and timely reports as required.
- Provide shipping, receiving and spares services to ensure of on-time, accurate and quality deliveries to internal and external customers.
- Provide and/or validate estimates for assigned tasks.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
HS 12-14, BS 8-10, MS 6-8
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to track multiple schedules and ensure resources are available to complete tasks in a high quality and timely manner.
- Strong leadership and people skills, and the ability to build strong teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of software development activities and methodologies, including Agile development practices.
- Working knowledge of virtualization, Hyper-V, RHEV, VMWare, or equivalent.
- An active SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one.
The following knowledge and experience are a plus:
- Experience with scripting, automation tools (Ansible, SolarWinds).
- System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields
- Knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 – $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
