A Lucid Motors Technical Project Manager, Facilities is responsible for the development and execution of capital projects. The Technical Project Manager will develop preliminary scopes, schedules, and budgets. This person will also manage vendors, consultants, contractors, Lucid stakeholders, and relationships with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ’s). The Project Manager is expected to develop strategies for executing projects, including exploration of options, sequencing, and phasing. The project manager shall be able to work independently while keeping management and teams fully informed. The candidate is expected to have a strong working knowledge and understanding of model building codes, design and permitting processes, construction administration, and project closeout. The project manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects.
This is a 100% on-site role in Newark, CA.
You Will:
- Responsible for overseeing and managing a portfolio of Lucid Facilities projects, including pre-design, design, construction, move, and closeout processes
- Responsible for soliciting design and other consulting proposals for design work
- Responsible for managing the solicitation of bids for construction work
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, coordinating with internal Lucid teams including Procurement, Finance, and Accounts Payable
- Participate in the preparation of stakeholder presentations for executive approval of projects
- Coordinate with other Facilities and Lucid departments including Real Estate, Security, IT, and EHS
- Site visits, due diligence, and documentation
- Regular project status reporting
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
You Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in architecture, engineering (civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical), or construction management.
- Minimum of two (2) years of design and project management experience
- Must have excellent communication abilities (oral and written)
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Competence with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Bluebeam, Visio, and AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of project scheduling. Competence with Primavera P6 is preferred.
- Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
- Willingness to cross-train for other job functions
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%)
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
• California (Bay Area) – $96,000 – $120,000 per year.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
