Job Description: Technical Recruiter
Overview:
As a Technical Recruiter, you will play a crucial role in attracting and hiring top-tier engineering talent to support our growth and achieve our ambitious goals. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to conducting interviews and facilitating the offer process. We have an entirely remote, world-wide engineering team, and your goal will be to help us grow this team. Additionally, you will collaborate with external agencies to identify and engage high-quality candidates for non-engineering roles.
Location: Preference will be given to US candidates based in the following states: Nebraska, Ohio, Florida, California, New York State, Utah, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oregon, Washington State, Indiana, Arizona, District of Columbia
Responsibilities:
– Partner closely with hiring managers and team leads to understand hiring needs, develop job descriptions, and create effective recruitment strategies.
– Source, attract, and engage passive and active candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and direct outreach.
– Screen resumes, conduct phone screens, and interview candidates to assess technical skills, cultural fit, and overall suitability for specific roles.
– Manage the entire recruitment process, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience at every stage.
– Collaborate with hiring managers to evaluate candidates and make data-driven hiring decisions.
– Negotiate and extend offers to selected candidates, taking into account market trends and internal compensation guidelines.
– Actively contribute to the enhancement of the recruitment process, including identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices, and leveraging innovative sourcing strategies.
– Develop and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, managing their involvement in the recruitment process.
– Provide regular updates and reports on recruitment activities, including sourcing metrics, candidate pipelines, and time-to-hire.
– Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in talent acquisition, leveraging knowledge to continuously improve recruitment strategies and techniques.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
– Proven experience as a Technical Recruiter or in a similar role, preferably within a fast-paced start-up or high-growth environment.
– Demonstrated expertise in sourcing and attracting engineering talent, utilizing various channels and tools.
– Strong understanding of software engineering concepts and technologies, enabling effective assessment of technical skills.
– Familiarity with the product development lifecycle and ability to assess product-related roles is a plus.
– Experience managing external recruitment agencies and vendors.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
– Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and make data-driven decisions.
– Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software tools.
