A large Fiber/telcom vendor in Denver, CO is looking for a Project Manager to join their team for a 6-month contract that could potentially turn into a full-time role based on performance. The role is being created because they have a PM going on maternity leave and they need help within their team of 12+ project managers that they have currently. The Project Manager position will manage Lit and Dark Fiber services Customer projects in one or more of the following product areas:
1. Waves services, Ethernet Services, IP Services
2. Dark Fiber metro and/or Long Haul services
3. Fiber to the Tower (FTT) services for Dark Fiber and Lit Services
This PM will work with high profile customers on complex orders – must previous experience.
Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Project ownership to include project kick off meetings with stakeholders, scheduling, scope and budget tracking, project management of internal and external team members.
2. Orchestrate internal and external customer project communication dependencies, timeline, milestones and progress
3. Provide Service Delivery Performance metrics and analysis to support cross-functional Customer Business Reviews.
4. Customer ownership and advocacy; the PM provides ‘Voice of the Customer’ project feedback
5. Develop and maintain customer project plans based on contractual requirements and service designs
This is mainly a long haul project that this PM will be helping with. This is a 6 month contract but there is a possibility of this turning into a full-time role based on performance.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in telecom specifically dealing with Fiber
Project Manager/Coordinator experience
Background with OSP, permitting, field projects, scheduling, vendor management etc.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working with retail clients in a telecom environment
Knowledge of lit vs. dark fiber
