About This Role:
The IT Engineer/Telecommunications Engineer maintains the campus telephone system, voicemail system, 2 way radio system, network & telecommunications (NTS) infrastructure, NTS door access control, NTS DC power systems, NTS emergency generators, & new construction projects.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 years of experience working in the telecommunications/network infrastructure field
- Outstanding management and communication skills with the ability to work effectively and foster a cooperative environment within the department and with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Excellent logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Critical thinking ability
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable under high-stress and exhibits poise and focus
- Ability to relate to a technically diverse community of students, staff, and faculty
- High level of energy, enthusiasm, and ability to be innovative and creative
