Introduction
Prince William County is searching for a highly motivated multi-tasker to join the Teletype Warrant Unit.
ABOUT THIS ROLE: This role is responsible for performing inquiries, entries, modifications and clears of warrant, protection orders, stolen articles, vehicles, boats, securities, tags, guns, and stored vehicles thorough Virginia Criminal Information Network (VCIN) and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and records management system.
PREFERENCES: The successful candidate will have previous experience in a public safety agency or court system and be VCIN and/or NCIC certified. Skills include 2-3 years clerical experience to include 1-2 years of data entry in a high stress or criminal justice environment.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work shift work. The normal schedule is 4 consecutive days, evenings, or nights (12-hour shift) and then off for four (4) days.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must become NCIC/VCIN certified within 6 months of employment. Must pass a typing test at 40 wpm / maximum of 3 errors.
ENTRY SALARY RANGE: $22.68 – $24.95
