Temporary IT Support Specialist (up to 12 weeks) Hickory/Gastoni

**This position will involve frequent travel to our NC office locations.**

This is a temporary position that will last up to 12 weeks. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Office Location: Flexible for any of our office locations.

Work Schedule: During the hours of Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm. Average hours per week would generally not exceed 30 hours.

Projected Hiring Range: Up to $25/hr depending on experience

Primary Purpose of Position: This temporary position will provide support to the IT Department with a variety of tasks that include, but not limited to, set-up of new computers, network and software; general back up support to IT by processing emails and ensuring that excellent customer service is provided to the end users; inventory management of IT equipment; and delivery and pick up of equipment to/from our office locations throughout our 14 counties. This position is part of an employee referral program; must be referred by a current employee of Partners Health Management. This position is for period not to exceed 12 weeks and is not eligible for benefits; hours per week would generally not exceed 30 hours.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Set up new computers, networks, and software for new employees
• Provide support to IT staff by answering phones, processing emails, and responding to user requests
• Work with IT resources to image new systems and add software application where appropriate.
• Install operating systems and other computer software applications on new computers
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all technology is working properly for the company.
• Collect, analyze, and store data for inventory management
• Support the maintenance of existing computer systems, including troubleshooting problems with hardware and software
• Create a survey to capture end users’ devices that have been deployed.
• Deliver and pickup of equipment to/from other PHM office locations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• General knowledge of computers and related information technology devices
• General knowledge of the software packages utilized by the agency
• Demonstrated technical aptitude through strong analytical skills, problem identification and resolution, organizational skills, creativity, and critical thinking
• Excellent customer service and written and oral communication skills required in working with users and team members
• Ability to communicate effectively with users who may not be coherent in clarifying problem situations
• Ability to work under time constraints and other demands
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to display a positive attitude and show initiative to meet departmental goals and customer expectations

Education/Experience Required: High School graduate or equivalent. Must have general knowledge of computers.

Education/Experience Preferred: Some college or college graduate. Experience working with computers preferred.
