Starting Compensation: Minimum $16.50 per hour; Maximum $16.50 per hour
Position Summary:
We are currently hiring a Temporary Bilingual (Spanish/English) Patient Concierge to join our El Nuevo San Juan Health Center located in Bronx, NY. The Patient Concierge helps navigate their medical home by creating a welcoming, patient-centered experience fostering an informative environment, providing an overall positive first and last impression for patients, their families, and visitors.
Applicants must have availability to commit to a schedule of 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm with two Saturdays a month. This assignment is a temporary full-time position until September 30, 2023.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- One year of experience in office setting with clerical duties required. Training provided on health care administrative duties.
- Bilingual Spanish/English required.
- Must have excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional experience to patients.
- Understanding of phone etiquette and standard office procedures.
Key Duties:
- Greets patients/visitors in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- Answers patients’ inquiries regarding their appointments, procedures, billing, referrals and provides general information.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with other departments as needed to ensure time service.
- Support with Registration, Sliding Fee Discount Schedule Program, ins verification payment collection and PCP changes.
- Escorts patients and/or arranges for escort to department/location.
