The Role

Collaborate with Programs Office Staff to assist in creation of tennis programs/classes on the website, proper student placement, and customer communications regarding NTC programs and services while monitoring class capacities/waitlists.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service in the handling and responding to emails, phone calls, and in person requests for information and requests pertaining to the Programs Department in areas such as programs, schools, events, private lessons, evaluations, tournaments or any information on tennis activities at the NTC.
  • Process junior and adult tennis program registration utilizing current online software system.
  • Coordinate, create, maintain, and market all Tennis Programs and events offered at the NTC including all adult and junior competitive leagues, match play and Play days, and all other NTC programs to generate revenue and to assist in the growth of Tennis.
  • Assist with the coordination of Private lesson bookings as needed.
  • Coordinate and maintain online registration process. Data entry as needed for registration and billing information into software and website.
  • Keep up to date with all of the tennis programs, and events offered at NTC. Provide excellent customer service to NTC patrons, ensuring that all information provided to customers is up to date and accurate.
  • Keep abreast of all program openings, which classes are fully booked and which are waitlisted. Be familiar with all playing level qualifications, professional staff postings, registration dates and deadlines.
  • By way of email and news bulletins, keep Reception Desk Staff appraised of latest information and other postings at it pertains to the program schedule.
  • Responsible for answering all questions from the customers accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Serve as assistant to Supervisor Tennis Programs and Sr. Business Manager, regarding additional duties as assigned (ie: type program related documents, letters, mailings, print materials for program registration and bulletin board updates etc.).
  • Assist with USTA NTC tournaments as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Tennis knowledge or prior experience working within a tennis facility is preferred
  • Prior experience with a scheduling system is required
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency, and ability to learn new software programs
  • Position is considered Non-Exempt
  • Position is considered an onsite at the National Tennis Center

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $39,526 – $45,000. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant’s qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
