Mixlab, the fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is hiring a Territory Sales Manager to help us build and manage our growing customer base in the Midwest. You’ll have an amazing opportunity to help expand Mixlab’s geographic coverage to new territory, bringing our exceptional service to more vets and pet owners. This is an ambitious role for an entrepreneurial sales professional that is passionate about building relationships, coaching around sales best practices, and looking for a company to grow with.
This is a remote role that should be based in the territory covered or able to work in the same time zone.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct needs analysis through in-person, phone or virtual meetings with veterinary practices, present Mixlab’s compounding capabilities and nurture existing relationships
- Establish and meet sales goals through business planning and territory management
- Help create effective sales & marketing materials
- Provide input to the rest of the team on veterinarian product needs
- Collaborate internally with other departments and leadership to provide input on veterinarian product needs
- Contact potential clients (veterinary hospitals and other animal-based centers that provide medical service) through outbound cold calls and emails to introduce Mixlab as a compounding pharmacy solution
- Identify key buyers and influencers within accounts and cultivate relationships
- Foster and maintain close relationships with our outside sales force to facilitate seamless sales processes
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products and services
- Exceed established daily and monthly productivity goals
- Understand and the utilize the escalation chain, if needed, to obtain results
- Maintain intimate knowledge of Mixlab offerings and be able to effectively communicate our value proposition both verbally and in writing
- Assist in onboarding new customers through phone calls and web-based demonstrations of our ordering platform
- Maintain customer database with accurate and up to date profile information, pertinent notes, and opportunity tracking
- Discuss and address competitive activity – bringing concerns to the attention of the leadership and marketing team
- Attend trade shows, if needed, and qualify any resulting leads
- Forecast and track personal sales
About You:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant Sales/Marketing role
- You are an experienced territory manager with a proven track record and have an understanding of the general sales process for the healthcare industry. Experience in the veterinary industry is a plus
- You demonstrate a strong business acumen with amazing communication skills
- You are highly results-oriented; you want your work to make a direct impact on the business and are driven to win earning potential from commissions
- You can effectively manage a pipeline utilizing CRM and other software tools. Experience with HubSpot preferred
- You have great organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- You are passionate, persevering, adaptable, and have a positive attitude
- You have the ability to travel 20% of the time, as well as out of state for conferences and events
- You are fantastic at crafting emails, and you’re not afraid of cold calling
- You are persistent in driving meaningful conversations with prospective customers, and you always follow up and follow through
- You are entrepreneurial by nature; you thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and are hungry to take advantage of the growth opportunities it brings
- You have experience executing strategic prospecting – you can find the right people and get them interested
- You are comfortable making 20+ calls per day
- You are highly coachable and flexible, and enjoy receiving and acting on constructive feedback

Pay ranges at Mixlab are based on competitive market data for our industry and company size. In addition to base pay, our total compensation package for full-time employees includes benefits and equity. We determine individual pay based on qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset, and we expect offers made to candidates to fall throughout the range advertised.
