A Test Equipment Assembly Technician job is currently available at Belcan working at the customer site in East Hartford, CT. This is a full-time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have a minimum of an Associate”s Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of two years of experience in industry.
Provide assistance as required to the engineers in the Collins Special Test Equipment (STE) group. Belcan is selected for their knowledge of the Government STE programs as well as their Engineering aide expertise.
1. Assemble, test and troubleshoot a variety of test systems and test cables including sub-assembly panels and chassis” using STE drawings.
2. Review unreleased STE drawings and advise Hardware Design of any corrections and/or changes that may be required.
3. Provide a daily build/test status to the Project Engineer of the product being worked on.
4. Provide labor estimates for build/test to Project Engineers.
5. Advise Hardware Design of design feasibility and offer ideas for design improvements of STE”s products.
6. Perform Preventative Maintenance on the test systems that STE is responsible for maintaining at the required intervals.
7. Maintain a clean, organized and safe personal work area.
Required:
• A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
• At least 2 years of similar experience in an Aerospace or related field
Preferred:
• Experience in a lab and/or manufacturing working environment.
• Previous Special Test Equipment (STE) Engineering Aide experience is desirable.
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $52,000 to $72,800 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
