Roles & Responsibilities:
• Overall accountability and responsibility for the success of the test effort for a complex project, including test planning, test preparation, and test execution for applicable levels of testing (SIT, UAT, Conversion, End to End, Performance). This includes quality and test advocacy, and resolution of issues that impede the test effort
• Mentor Test Leads and coordinates test staffing with Test Resource Managers
- Manage the strategic and tactical testing relationship with program stakeholders
- In collaboration with the Test Architect, develop the overall testing strategy for the program; set the direction and tone for quality delivery to ensure all aspects of quality are considered
- Own/drive/coordinate testing and test artifacts across multiple testing phases, including SIT, UAT, End-to-End, performance, etc.
- Identify, recommend and coordinate automation effort for different systems
- Partner with the Performance Test Team to ensure appropriate performance testing is occurring for the project (if applicable)
• Manage testing risks and issues, develop contingency plan as appropriate
- Ensure all applicable SDLC and testing processes are followed; provide mentoring as appropriate
- Own QA aspects of Traceability for the program
• Own defect management process for the program, ensuring defects are remediated and risks communicated
- Collect testing metrics, reports status to program
- Align with Configuration Management and Release Management
- Consult with Test Architect to ensure test data provisioning, test environment and test automation aligns with the proposed test strategy
• Escalate to Test Architect when needed throughout the testing lifecycle

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $75,000 – $95,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
