Salary & Benefits Include:
– $14.00-$17.00/per hour (DOQ)
– Complimentary Fitness Center, Dog Park, and Coral Cove Water Park membership.

Summer
– Monday & Wednesday (3:45pm – 8:30pm).
– Plus, tech and performance days at the end of July/early August.

Fall
– Saturdays (12:00pm – 3:00pm).
– Plus, tech and performance days in mid-to-late November.

Winter
– Sundays (12:00pm – 4:00pm).
– Wednesdays (3:45pm – 8:30pm).
– Plus, tech and performance days at the end of March.

– Part-time position.
– Additional hours may include theatre camps and workshops.

Position Summary
The Musical Director is responsible for teaching and preparing participants (ages 5-17) for their theatre productions.

Essential Job Functions:
– Assist with casting for theatre production.
– Rehearse vocalists and prepare for public performance.
– Provide vocal coaching to develop and improve participants’ singing technique and delivery.
– Demonstrate basic musical/vocal skills.
– Supervise participants.
– Keep parents informed of participant progress.
– Manage participant class behavior.
– Attend staff meetings, as required.
– Maintain and promote excellent customer service relations with participants, parents, and other affiliates.
– Maintain a working knowledge of all general and department safety rules.
– Enforce safety rules, and improve public and employee knowledge by preventing, confronting, and correcting unsafe behavior.
– Follow, administer, and implement district policies, guidelines, and crisis management.
– Perform other related duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree preferred, with an emphasis on music education or performance.
– Minimum three years related experience or coursework.
– Must have music/voice skills and be knowledgeable of vocal techniques.
– Strong leadership skills.
– The ability to interact with all levels of employees.
– Must have a strong ability to communicate effectively, orally and written, regarding service information and public relations.
– Must be detail oriented and able to process information accurately.
– Must successfully pass a background check.
