Duties

As a Third Party Risk Management Analyst you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, monitoring and helping to mitigate actual or potential risks associated with the management of third-party supplier relationships across the Agency. Typical assignments include:

  • Partners with legal, compliance, procurement, IT, and business offices to identify specific third-party risks and recommend appropriate risk treatment action plans.
  • Integrates data from different sources to conduct third party risk assessments, using established criteria across various risk types including financial, compliance, regulatory, operational, strategic, and reputational in order to assess potential for risk in a comprehensive manner.
  • Educates third party risk management (TPRM) stakeholders on related TPRM emerging risk trends, identification and remediation best practices and provide guidance related to the agency’s risk and operating environment.
  • Stays abreast of current or evolving topics and events to identify trends, issues and best practices which potentially impact Agency initiatives and suppliers as well as the tools and processes for effective risk monitoring and assessment.
  • Functions as the subject matter expert in TPRM in administering the program that will require ongoing program assessment, review, and updates to ensure policies and procedures are current, practiced, and effective.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of the financial services sector and associated regulatory agencies in order to monitor and assess potential risk posed by use of financial services organizations as third party vendors.
  • Knowledge of program/project management principles and practices and the ability to apply them in order to effectively manage programs and projects.

Probationary Period. One-year probationary period may be required.

Background Suitability Investigation. Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background investigation and the granting of a federal suitability or security clearance. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the Specialized Experience as described below.

Specialized Experience:

Applicants must have at least one year of full-time specialized work experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the next lower level (equivalent to the GS-13) in the federal government. Specialized experience is defined as:

  1. You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-13 grade level which involves experience with being responsible for identifying, analyzing, monitoring and helping to mitigate actual or potential risks associated with the management of third-party supplier relationships across an agency or organization.

.Quality Ranking Factors: Applicants who possess the following are preferred:

  • Applicants who possess one or more of the following technical certifications: RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional; COSO Enterprise Risk Management; ISO 31000 Risk Management.
