Job Summary
Responsible for the accounting aspects of PACE financials. Manages many of the front of house duties for performances at the VanTrease PACE in both the Studio Theatre and Main Stage.
Essential Duties
Maintain budgets for all accounts housed in the School of Visual and Performing Arts and Signature Symphony providing regular updates and information to the Dean of Visual and Performing Arts and the Director of Development and Operations for Signature Symphony.
Utilizes college provided software to generate financial reports for the VPA Dean, faculty chairs, and the PACE Operations Manager; acts as liaison between these positions and the TCC Accounting Department; attends regular staff meetings to ensure effective communication between departments.
Creates and maintains tracking on requisitions and ensures materials needed for productions, classes, and operations are available in a timely manner.
Supervises part-time staff and volunteer ushers in the absence of PACE Operations Manager.
Sells tickets and season subscriptions to patrons on the ticketing system, trains and works with parttime workers to ensure excellent service; responsible for handling money and making sure it is secure when PACE Operations Manager is absent. Will be expected to trouble shoot issues and work with TAMC staff to find solutions to ticketing and reporting challenges.
Works with patrons to ensure a safe entry and exit from performances; responsible for working incidents with patrons during performances i.e. medical emergency, loss of belongings, safe exit from site.
Trains the ushers in safety procedures for the facility including medical emergencies, fire and tornado evacuations, dealing with difficult patrons, and ensuring safety for patrons and performers.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent education in Business or Accounting, Fine Arts, or a related field, or three years in a similar position.
3 years experience with maintaining budgets and purchasing materials.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Information/Records Administration.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent customer service.
Experience completing deposit and tax reports.
Ability to lift 25 pounds.
