About the Job:

Provides technical and administrative support for the Total Rewards program, including Benefits, Compensation, Workers Compensation (“WC”) and Leave of Absence (“LOA”) programs.

Responsibilities

A day in the life, what you’ll be doing:

  • Assists in the development, coordination, and administration of the company’s Total Rewards Program.
  • Works as part of a team to assist in administering associate benefits across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
  • Researches and responds timely to Benefits, WC and LOA questions and requests from associates.
  • Assists with plan and payroll audits to maintain compliance and accuracy of records.
  • Assists with interfacing with vendors to ensure the efficiency of administration of the company’s benefits plans including enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, and claims issues
  • Collaborates with Benefits Manager to administer the benefits communication strategy, including open enrollment, new hire orientation, benefits guides, wellness program, on-going communication efforts and updating and maintaining the company benefits portal as necessary.
  • Assists with processing billing related to benefits timely and accurately.
  • Partners closely with Payroll department to ensure timely and accurate benefit deductions are taken.
  • Assists with maintaining and updating job descriptions, positions, organization management data, and other related compensation databases.
  • Assists with the salary grading process.
  • May assist with planning and generating pay-related reporting and analytics.
  • Participates in compensation surveys, assists with external market analysis and internal equity evaluations.
  • Administers service awards program.
  • Provides support on WC incidents and claims.
  • Contacts newly injured associates immediately; maintains close contact with injured associates, following up as needed.
  • Assists with injury investigations as needed.
  • Supports the day-to-day administration of LOA programs for multi-state associates.
  • Responsible for keeping up to date on federal, state, and territory regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 4-year Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years Benefits Administration experience preferred
  • Workers Compensation and Leave of Absence experience a plus
  • Multi-state experience preferred
  • UKGPro Payroll/HRIS experience preferred
  • PHR, SHRM-CP or CEBS certification a plus

Salary Range:

$50,000 – $55,000

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
  • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
  • Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
  • Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel may be required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
