Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and friendly individual to join our team as a Town Square Attendant! As an attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all visitors to the town square. Duties will include basic maintenance, ticket sales, and distributing equipment.
The Town Square Attendant will perform a variety of work in daily operations including ticket sales and guest experience. This position is responsible for performing opening and closing duties, maintaining and renting ice skates, Putt-Putt equipment, and lawn games, and performing cleaning tasks required to maintain the facility. Additional duties include operating the snack bar, enforcing the rules and regulations of Town Square, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.
Duties
- Responsible for keeping all areas of the facility neat, clean and safe.
- Completes daily tasks and checklists regarding cash handling, opening, and closing procedures.
- Distributes ice skates, putters, and golf balls to patrons. Collects, cleans, and properly stores all equipment.
- Operates a cash register and receives payment from customers in cash and credit card, accurately counts and provides change to customers as required. Follows all cash handling policies and procedures.
- Explains various ticket options to patrons and stays up to date with operation and policies.
- Administers first aid when necessary.
- Reports irregularities, discrepancies, damage, loss of property and safety concerns promptly to Management team.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- At least 16 years of age.
- American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Certified
PREFERRED:
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Prior customer service experience.
- Prior cash handling experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written direction. Desire to work outdoors during all-weather types. Possesses basic computer and POS system knowledge. Ability to maintain high standards, positive attitude, and professional appearance. Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to ensure patrons enjoy a friendly, fun, and safe environment. Ability to problem solve and react quickly to guests needs, initiate conversation with guests, and provide relevant information regarding attractions. Ability to enforce all facility standards. First Aid/CPR; ability to identify unsafe practices. Ability to get along appropriately with co-workers and the public.
Attendance is an essential function of this position. The City reserves the right to require an employee in this position to work more than 40 hours a week. This position provides services or performs duties for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations. These may include services or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of your job. In the event of an evacuation, the incumbent in this position may be required to remain to perform needed services.
