Responsibilities
We are seeking a Program Manager with strong IT and network infrastructure background to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Raleigh, NC.
In addition to a solid Program Management tool skill set the preferred individual will have strategic management and soft skills as you will be in constant communications with all levels of team members including executives.
Responsibilities and Deliverables include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for the successful technical, schedule, and cost performance of a major program, or multiple programs, through subordinate program/project managers, in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Manages one or more projects or programs, may manage an operating office and supervises professional and technical personnel performing in their customary disciplines.
- Maintains aggressive efforts to achieve objectives.
- Acts as a technical liaison with vendors. Develops Quality Assurance Programs for all products and services.
- Assign staff and provide technical direction as necessary to complete task.
- Develop and deliver required contract, departmental, project and/or financial reports.
- Evaluates and determines changes in methods or procedures in assigned area of responsibility.
- Managing projects and portfolios for highly visible initiatives
- Creating, maintaining, and reporting milestones and metrics
- Ensuring that projects are on-track and reporting correct metrics.
- Work with teams as needed to produce and prepare reports and responses to senior management requests.
- Provide information technology project and program management support for United States Postal Service
- Serve as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs.
- Manage large scale IT tech refreshes.
- Resolves all issues and action items.
- Ensure that projects are completed on-time.
- Develop advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product.
- Serve as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs.
- Create detailed project plans, schedules, risk logs, issue logs, communication plans, change control processes, schedule and lead meetings, escalate issues, and others.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s (or equivalent) with 10 – 12 years of experience or a Master’s with 8 – 10 years of experience.
- Demonstrated strong project/program management skills on an IT or network infrastructure team.
- Experience with large infrastructure projects
- Experience with network/IT security in a government based secure environment.
- Familiarity with agile and waterfall project methodologies
- Experience with enterprise-wide implementations
- Experience holding people accountable in a matrix organizational environment.
- Familiarity with SharePoint
- Experience managing program-based projects, as well as a project portfolio of up to 40 projects.
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance – US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) and must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in the last 5 years.
- Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years.
Desired Qualifications:
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
- Knowledge of USPS Enterprise Network Projects
- Active USPS security clearance

Range for Posting
Salary Minimum: $72,500
Salary Mid: $145,000
Salary Maximum: $181,300
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton’s total compensation package for employees.
