Buy-side equity fund with strong decade plus track record looking to and a trading desk analyst looking for an experienced trading operations/support analyst
The applicant should have prior working experience in the financial industry, preferably on an equity trading desk in a support or operational role. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the daily trading and operational activities of the firm, as well as managing and enhancing the systems used for these tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and verify the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of data from multiple sources
- Use existing data integrity tools to ensure data is accurate, properly formatted, and delivered on time
- Daily reconciliation of positions and trades
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues by contacting vendors and comparing to secondary sources
- Provide timely and complete resolution of ad-hoc data inquiries by internal team members
- Assist in designing and testing of new data review systems and reports
Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in finance or related field
- 4+ years of professional experience working in the financial industry, preferably on an equity trading desk in a support or operational role
- Strong understanding of equity markets
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (experience utilizing statistical and reference functions)
- Experienced supporting a trading desk with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Strong communication skills
- Bloomberg terminal experience a plus
- Basic SQL and Python skills a plus
