Arcadis seeks a Traffic Operations Market Lead to join our transportation team in Atlanta, GA.

Role description:
As a Traffic Operations Market Lead, your role would involve a wide range of internal and external responsibilities focused on project delivery and market growth. You will have the opportunity to work alongside program managers, project managers, and engineers to guide the development and execution of TSMO and ITS programs and projects across Georgia.
Role accountabilities:
- Staff management: Serve as a line manager for project managers and technical staff including providing day to day oversight of work, mentoring, and goal setting. This includes direct oversight of staff performance including quality and productivity.
- Strategy development: Work with North American Mobility management to develop and achieve goals for market growth in TSMO and ITS markets.
- Project Pursuit Strategies: You would work with client managers and operational leaders to develop strategies and plans for pursuing new projects. This includes identifying potential opportunities, analyzing market trends, and proposing innovative solutions to meet client needs.
- Serve as Client-Facing Project Manager: You may serve as the main point of contact for clients, overseeing TSMO and ITS projects. You would ensure effective communication and collaboration with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Scope, Schedule, and Budget Management: You would be responsible for developing and managing the project scope, creating schedules, and establishing budgets. This includes defining project objectives, deliverables, and timelines, as well as monitoring project progress and resource allocation to ensure successful completion.
- Status Updates and Reporting: You would provide regular written and verbal updates on project status to clients and internal senior management. This involves reporting on project milestones, risks, and issues, as well as discussing strategies to mitigate challenges.
- Technical Presentations: You would present project outcomes and industry trends at internal meetings and technical conferences. This includes the development of effective presentations and strong ability to verbally communicate technical comments.
- Training and Guidance: You would provide training and guidance to junior engineers and interns, sharing your technical proficiency and consultancy skills. This involves mentoring, offering technical support, and facilitating their professional development.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of relevant work experience which includes 10+ years of experience in managing projects and teams
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Ability to obtain Georgia PE within one year of hire.
- Experience managing teams and programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Georgia Department of Transportation
Key Attributes:
- Understanding of the current TSMO and ITS market including existing funding, client needs, and trends
- Experience with office and field signal timing development an implementation
- Understanding of the application of traffic operations principles including ITE, MUTCD, AASHTO, and state DOT requirements, policies, manuals and procedures
- Must possess a U.S. Driver’s License
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: GDOT design standards, ITS design, traffic operations studies, intersection conceptual drafting, or safety studies.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start date, and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $116000 – $200000.
