Duties include, dependent upon assignment, participating in and performing fabrication of standard traffic signs, and design and fabrication of logo and insignia decals and other signs; conducting traffic studies – data collection and download and manipulation of data to produce reports; monitoring and tracking sign material inventory; and assisting internal and external customers in person, by telephone and by email. A high school diploma or equivalent and one year of sign fabrication or related experience required. Must have working knowledge of the publications Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and Texas Standard Highway Sign Designs for Texas; be able to demonstrate necessary computer skills and competency with Flex or similar sign design software; and have, or be able to obtain, an appropriate driver’s license. Normal hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., but schedule will also include some after-hours, weekends and holidays. Must be able to respond to after-hours trouble calls.
PAY GRADE GG12 / FULL PAY RANGE $18.83 – $2656 PER HOUR
