We are seeking a Training and Employee Development Specialist to join our Human Resources team at Daniel Boone Regional Library!

Schedule:
Full-time, exempt position (40 hours per week)
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm, occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
Duties:
- Plan, develop, deliver and manage internal, external and virtual training programs relevant to the development of library employees’ knowledge and skills.
- Oversee and coordinate all employee training programs and training calendar.
- Understand various learning styles and foster a positive learning environment for all.
- Develop, deliver and manage new employee onboarding experience; ensuring new hires are properly introduced to our culture and thoroughly trained on their duties.
- Work with managers, develop and oversee deployment of staff training, with focus on individual and organizational improvement.
- Participate in the planning and execution of an annual employee development event.
- Stay current on latest developments in training and development topics and formats.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, communication, education or related field; four years of professional experience in needs assessment, training and delivery; course and program design and development. Experience working in a public library and experience in core skills training with emphasis on customer service preferred.

Salary: $45,968 annual starting salary
