About the Role

We are looking for an experienced change management and transformation professional with a successful track record leading business change, and driving execution for business programs that impact people, process, systems or data; providing delivery excellence in implementation, embedding change in the business, and benefits realization. This includes establishing organization designs and ways of working for new business models and products, to evolve the Workforce Skills (WFS) Division. You will consult and partner with senior stakeholders and build teams, utilizing extensive solutioning, influencing and engagement skills.

About your Key Responsibilities

Leading Change Initiatives to Drive Revenue Growth

  • Partner with the WFS leadership team and functions, to be the go-to resource to assess, plan and execute changes in their organizations – across people, process, system, data
  • Identify the transformation priorities with the team aligned to (i) strategic goals (ii) new and evolving business models and (iii) cultural definitions/shifts and based on current business operational model
  • Partner with HR leaders, and external SMEs when required, to assess, plan and implement transformation impacts across initiatives

Solutioning & Delivery

  • Solution business challenges and opportunities, that are highly ambiguous and transformative, in partnership with sponsors and business partners
  • Lead and facilitate the execution of initiatives, providing hands on delivery or managing teams to deliver the business case, project scope and execution to agreed results. This will include responsibilities to:
  • Assemble, motivate, engage and lead project teams
  • Develop detailed project plans and track progress based on agreed timelines
  • Timely escalation of critical risks and issues; anticipate, identify, and develop recommendations and solutions to mitigate
  • Provide direction and support to understand the change, and take stakeholders on the journey to move to the new ways of working
  • Map current business operations, facilitate the definition of the end state and define the transitional phases to evolve to the required outcomes, in order to deliver strategic goals at scale and pace
  • Track organizational health across WFS using metrics and indicator dashboards and execute on remediation plans

Methodology and Discipline

  • Establish a standard process and organizational effectiveness framework for WFS transformation, based on metrics and data points for objective assessment and measurement
  • Continually assess and execute on continuous improvement of the model and process re-design; based on the WFS capability model
  • Facilitate the adoption of change within the organization, and support teams to implement and deliver the benefits; with a focus on transformation benefits realization

About You

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field required or equivalent experience
  • Certified as a practitioner of change within chosen models and techniques – particularly operating model and organizational design
  • HR experience in transformation and organizational change
  • Experience of transformation within a commercial product organization
  • Consultancy experience essential

About your compensation

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

The minimum full-time salary range is between $100,000 – $115,000.
