The salary range for this position is $55k-$65k annually
Responsibilities
- Develop Transition plans for school age students ages 14-21
- Conduct vocation assessments
- Coordinate vocational settings
- Ensure post-secondary school/ linkage referrals for graduating students
- Coordinate school and local resources to provide vocational opportunities
- Work Closely with ACCES-VR to provide supports to graduating students
- Participate in parent training clinics as needed
- Serve as substitute teacher as needed
- Provide and/or ensure regular communication with parents
- Maintain regular communication with classroom and administrative staff regarding student progress, staff progress, and overall class management
- Monitor and graph performance/productivity
- Participate in the evaluation of staff as needed
- Attend/participate/develop classroom and or school-wide trainings
- Assist/guide/mentor in the development of annual narrative reports/quarterly reports.
- Assist in review of progress reports from classroom teachers (as needed)
- Facilitate administration of annual NYS Assessments
Qualifications and Work Experience
• Certified Special Education Teacher, LMSW, Psychologist or Certified School Administrator
• Experience as a Transition Coordinator working with students on the Autism Spectrum preferred
• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience highly preferred
