Job Description:

We are looking for a Transition Executive to join our team. You will work alongside our leadership team to ensure that new and changing IT services are successfully transitioned in line with key deliverables. This role requires the right individual to have a proven history in service design and service transition, and to take ownership of the service transition process.

HOW THE TRANSITION EXECUTIVE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a transition executive, a typical day will include:

  • Ensure the effective transfer to Service Operations
  • Chair and represent team in Service Readiness Reviews
  • Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring that all plans/polices are in place for all agreed services
  • Maintain the Service Risk Register (SRR)
  • Take accountability for the transition of new or changed services
  • Own service transition processes and ensure these are communicated and followed throughout the IT function.
  • Oversee IT asset transfers
  • Support the delivery of key requirements through the Service Transition team by providing ongoing support and expertise
  • Ensure all Service Design and end to end support models are reviewed and implemented for any changed or new services
  • Ensure all process comply within internal security and technology standards.
  • Maintain Service Catalogue and associated SLAs

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

EDUCATION:

  • A BA/BS computer science or information systems
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation (at a minimum)

Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in service transition and service design
  • Experience in risk management, service improvement, and stakeholder management

LOCATION:

  • This job can be performed remotely, but some on-site time at customer sites in Virginia will be required. It is currently estimated at 25-50% on site. It is preferred that the selected applicant be within 2 hours of Richmond, VA due to the frequency of on-site activities.

Timeline:

  • Please note, this job is being posted contingent on contract award, and is expected to start in late 2003 or early 2024.

The likely salary range for this position is $104,000 – $156,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
