Job Description
CRDF Global is seeking candidates for its 2023 Summer Internship Program in support of our Special Projects under the Security Assistance Division. The internship will be located in our Arlington, Virginia office and will begin on June 1st and end on August 31, 2023. We work in a hybrid environment that provides employees with a weekly mix of in-office and remote work.
The Special Projects team implements programming around the world in support of critical international and national security objectives, specifically related to threats posed to nonproliferation norms and restrictions. Under this role, interns will work closely with the program team on various tasks including but not limited to the following: Conducting subject area research; supporting participant outreach efforts across various projects; assisting with project management; and assisting with program implementation, documentation and reporting, and monitoring and evaluation.
Major Responsibilities:
Specific tasks include, but may not be limited to:
- Conducting research in cutting edge concepts and practices around counterproliferation, sanctions and sanctions evasion, and disinformation
- Working with project teams to develop and implement remote and in-person trainings
- Helping with Monitoring and Evaluation by gathering and organizing data from after-action reporting and participant surveys from both live and online trainings
- Gathering information to further develop our subject-matter expert/consultant database in Salesforce
- Collaborating with other interns in the creation of a group project
Qualifications:
- Possesses or pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in related field
- Demonstrates interest in subject areas such as disinformation, nonproliferation, and financial sanctions
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week with a maximum of 28 hours per week
- U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required
CRDF Global pays interns at a rate of $16.50 per hour.
