Our Chipley Transportation Management Center (TMC) is looking for a Lead Operations Supervisor. Join our team!
The Lead Operations Supervisor will have demonstrated qualities of supervision and leadership that illustrate the traits required to be part of the Management Team.
The position is intended to be a step on the “career path” to TMC Assistant Manager/Manager. The position reports to the TMC Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the TMC Manager to ensure adherence to policies and procedures of the TMC and FDOT.
- Assist the TMC Manager with scheduling, training, and other assigned tasks.
- Offer guidance and responses from the TMC Operators and direct communications to the TMC Manager, FDOT, FHP and other response agencies.
- Ensure consistent communication of important issues between shifts.
- Produce reports for weekly operations.
- Support updates to SOP and training manuals as requested by TMC Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a RTMC Operator in a SunGuide® Experience as an Operator in a facility similar to the RTMC may suffice to meet this requirement, in part or total.
- SHRP2 Train the Trainer Certification within a year.
- Successful completion of FDOT approved Intermediate or Advanced Temporary Traffic Control (Maintenance of Traffic) Training within 1 year.
- Prior knowledge of the SunGuide® Software and related systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of ITS principles.
- Skills in leadership, interpersonal relationships, and ability to work well within a group.
- This position shall be assigned to a staff member with one (2) years of successful employment as an Operations Supervisor or equivalent experience in similar facilities.
- A bachelors’ degree in a related field from an accredited four-year college or university may be accepted in lieu of one (1) years’ experience.
- RTMC Supervisor training completed within 6 months.
