Job Description
The Travel & Logistics (T&L) Associate will support the Department of State’s International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) providing administrative support in the implementation of travel and logistics related activities; maintaining and updating electronic records and databases; preparing documents; and assisting in division level projects. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of the team to assist with the development and coordination of international projects and who enjoys working in a challenging environment.
Major Responsibilities:
- Administrative project support including, but not limited to materials development, virtual platform development, budget development and screening, etc.
- Supports the implementation of travel arrangements (including but not limited to airfare, lodging, meals and incidentals and ground transportation) and logistics (including but not limited venue and catering)
- Assists with preparing reports and financial data
- Maintains and updates electronic records and databases
- Additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- High School Diploma (bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Project management skills.
- Strong time management skills and ability to deliver services on time, on budget and in accordance with funder expectations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills.
- U.S. work authorization.
Salary & Benefits: The hourly pay range for this position is $22.12 to $24.04. The determination of salaries in this job classification depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant candidate experience, job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills.
