Summary
The Transmission Right-of-Way (ROW) Project Planning Coordinator is responsible for MCPR reporting, planning, coordinating and tracking ROW activities and schedules, WA creation, project support, weekly reporting in support of the ROW PM’s and Agents supporting Real estate acquisition, line projects, CCN project management, asset management and Customers projects. Serving as a liaison between ROW and internal stakeholders. Effectively communicating and resolving issues for the purpose of acquiring and maintaining land and land rights for Transmission Projects, successful execution and completion of projects.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Directly or through others, the incumbent:
- Coordinate and track TRN ROW acquisition activities for active ROW projects
- Complete ROW project closure activities
- Timely support for MCPR reporting and filings
- Timely requests and assignment of 911 addresses
- Effectively respond to change and adjust priorities to meet deadlines
- Effectively manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and maintaining work product quality, reliability, and volume
- Establish trust, exhibit commitment and build and maintain relationships to achieve goals
- Participate in cross-functional team communications to provide timely ROW acquisition status, task management and to resolve open issues
- Develop, apply and maintain a high-level of project management standards
- Document and communicate potential project risks to appropriate stakeholders to actively mitigate risk
- Maintain a database for real-time tracking of ROW acquisition activity using PETE, OTIS, EXCEL and/or other applicable workflow management tools.
- Monitor and update project schedules
- Develop and provide reports on project status and metrics for ROW PM’s and Agents
- Prepare bi-weekly updates for Regulatory, ROW PM’s, Agents and ROW Management
- Establish WA’s for applicable ROW projects
- Assist in review of abstractor data
- Provides assistance in prep for and during public meetings
- Assists CCN PM’s in preparing CCN draft application
- Schedule CCN kickoff meetings
- Effectively interface with Transmission workgroups and support teams including ROW, Engineering, Construction Management, PMO, Legal and Regulatory to provide status updates and to establish risk mitigation plans
- Ability to think creatively, critically and proactively when solving problems

Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus closely related to project management; or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Transmission/Distribution through either working in Operations, Regulatory, Engineering, Right-of-Way, or applicable support functions for Transmission/Distribution preferred
- International Right of Way Association Certification preferred
- Ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Ability to analyze reports and communications to produce applicable information
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage multiple projects to successful and timely completion
- Demonstrated ability to manage highly sensitive and intense situations
- Demonstrated ability to use innovation in solving problems
- Demonstrated ability to improve efficiency of work processes
